Past. Present. Forever.

Protect the past to build our future. Reusing our river’s historic assets to cultivate community pride, outdoor recreation, and economic growth.

Donations support projects by Susquehanna National Heritage Area (SNHA) and Rivertownes PA USA. SNHA leads regional tourism development and welcomes 25,000 visitors to the region at Columbia Crossing and the Zimmerman Center.

SNHA also connects local children to the river through free riverfront field trips for over 1,000 local students each school year.

Rivertownes PA operates the Musselman-Vesta Iron Furnace Center and works on historic projects throughout the river towns. Projects have included the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge light restoration, historic building signs in Marietta, and the Wrightsville Cemetery fence replacement.

Susquehanna National Heritage Area and Rivertownes PA USA have served Lancaster & York County communities for over a decade by enhancing our river’s special places, highlighting our unique heritage, and connecting people to the river.

Riverfest event each summer has commemorated the burning of the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge during the Civil War offering fun, recreational, and educational activities for visitors. Our goal is to grow Riverfest into a premium weekend-long event showcasing the best of the river in the years to come.

We can’t meet our goal without the help of generous donors and businesses like you. Sponsorship opportunities offer promotional incentives and show the community your commitment to our flourishing river economy!
